We are pleased to invite proposals for the AQIA 2026 Annual Conference, the 5th in our annual series. The conference will be held at Konkuk University in Seoul, with a parallel virtual component for online participants.
Asia is not a fixed or self-evident object - it is a site of ongoing reinterpretation. From historical legacies of colonialism and empire to the dynamism of contemporary cultural production, migration, and educational transformation, the meanings of "Asia" have always been contested, reimagined, and remade. This conference invites qualitative researchers to bring critical, pluralistic, and reflexive lenses to the societies, cultures, and educational landscapes of Asia and its diasporas.
We welcome proposals for individual papers, organized panels, and posters from all disciplines.
All abstracts must be submitted electronically by August 1, 2026. Individual paper abstracts must not exceed 500 words; panel proposals (3-5 presenters) must not exceed 1,000 words. Abstracts must be original and not previously published or presented elsewhere.
